What is suede fabric and its advantages
Time:2021-06-01

Suede is a velvet fabric with a layer of 0.2mm fluff covering its surface, which has a good hand feel and is widely used in clothing, cars, luggage, etc! In terms of fabric composition, suede can be divided into natural suede and synthetic suede.
Natural suede is a processed product of animal suede, with limited sources and high prices. It belongs to the category of fur fabrics.
And imitation suede belongs to synthetic fabrics, which are composed of warp knitted sea island silk and weft knitted polyester silk. Sea island silk is actually a type of ultrafine fiber with a complex processing technology. There are not many domestic manufacturers that can produce it, and its chemical fiber composition is essentially polyester. Therefore, the essential fabric composition of suede like fabric is 100% polyester fabric.
The suede fabric undergoes a sanding process during the textile process, which results in the finished product having very fine fuzz and a good hand feel!
What are the advantages of suede fabric?
Advantages of suede fabric:
1. Suede belongs to the aristocratic category of artificial fur, which is not inferior to natural suede in any way. The overall feel of the fabric is soft and lightweight, which is really advantageous compared to the bulky feeling of traditional fur.
2. Suede undergoes strict hot stamping and printing processes during the textile process, resulting in a unique fabric style. The designed garments have a very good retro style.
3. Suede fabric is waterproof, breathable, and comfortable to wear. This is mainly due to the effective control of the overall shrinkage rate of the fabric by the sea island silk textile technology, which keeps the fiber gap of the fabric between 0.2-10um. This gap is larger than the sweat vapor of the human body (0.1um) and much smaller than the diameter of water droplets (100um-200um), thus achieving waterproof and breathable effects!
